So the air-drying step is important, you’ll know they are fully airdried when they are dry to the touch and have firmed up even more from when you originally took them out of the silicone molds. Once you see mold on them it’s game over and they are garbage. Properly dried dummies will store in the fridge for 1-2 weeks. There is still moisture in the gummy candies and you need them to dry out or they are more likely to go moldy within a few days. They need to air dry for 24-72 hours before storing them in an airtight container in the fridge. STEP NINEĪfter your molds are filled leave them for at least half an hour before taking them out. Whatever method you choose fill up your molds, move quickly so the mixture doesn’t start to solidify. Its slow and tedious, a HUGE pain in the ass. With a lot of the gummy molds you get a dropper, don’t use this. You can also use a plastic squeeze bottle that you can fill up using a funnel. This can be the most stressful part because you want to move fast so the mixture doesn’t start to solidify before you get it in the mold. STEP EIGHTĪfter the 10 mins are up it’s time to put your mixture into the molds Now you need to whisk this consistently for 10 minutes, making sure no clumps form. Place the bloomed gelatin in your double boiler, and add the flavoring (optional) 5-10 drops. Remember your bloomed gelatin? This is now going to be put in the mix. Carefully and slowly pour the jello mixture into your double boiler containing the cannabis oil and whisk this until well mixed.
